Instructional
In my recent years of teaching I have begun to view myself as an instructional leader. I have attended several Michigan Department of Education CTE meeting that have helped to outline expectations for state approved Information Technology programs. On a local level I have brought that information back from state meetings to help restructure and realign our district CTE programs.
In recent years I have written and been approved for grants that have brought new technology to the school including a projecter, printer, and four new laptop computers.
In 2010 I worked with my school principal to help bring 50 used laptop computers to our school. I took on the task of taking home each computer over the summer and preparing for use in our building. I was responsible for reformatting the hard drives, installing an operating system, updating, and maintaining the computers. Some of the computers have been set up with special software that is being used to help serve our autistic student population.
Relation to Standards
My experience aligning curriculum, writting grants, and over seeing the laptop project aligns to the following standards:
Standard 2
